My Favorite Posts of 2014

So yesterday I posted what were the most popular posts of 2014 with you fabulous, amazing, rockin’ readers…and today I thought I’d share what were MY favorites of this past year!

10. Fabric Magnetic Door Shade. I love this so much because it FINALLY solved my ugly curtain dilemma I’d be living with for soooo long. Funny how you don’t realize just how bad something is until you fix it;)

9. DIY Giant Rustic Chalkboard. I LOVE chalkboards – I know some may think they’ve had their day, but I say never! And paired with some rustic style wood? Fuhhgeddaboutit.

8. Yard Sale ‘Ladder’ turned Bookcase. I was pretty proud of this idea, I gotta tell ya. Some paint and dowels and we had a cute new addition to my daughter’s room!

7. 52 Weeks. Yes, this was on yesterday’s list too – but it’s one of my favorites because it really sums up this past year for me. The fear, the worry, but growing through it all, and remembering that ‘just because today sucks, doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t ROCK MY SOCKS OFF.’ Amen to that, Liz. 😉

6. DIY Tree Art. This has been such a nice addition to our family room, and I loved how I finally got around to using my old gold tree for something new!

5. The Magic of Spray Paint. Oh, this $20 bed! This ‘new’ lamp! My girl’s room has turned into one of my favorite rooms in the house, thanks to spray paint…

4. What I Learned From My Kid’s Teacher. I learned such a valuable lesson from my daughter’s teacher and am so thankful for it. Sometimes we lose sight and need a gentle reminder…

3. The Office Reveal! What was the most hated room in the house (ok, maybe not – the laundry room is still incredibly frightening…and the bathroom with the pink tile…), turned into a much loved space. I’m so happy with how it all turned out.

2. DIY Giant Dry Erase Board. Oh. Em. Geeeee. I can’t even put into words how much I love this one. Our daughter is OBSESSED and plays on it every single day. Every once in a while I’ll have one of those lightbulb moments that hit me and I can’t wait to see it come to fruition – this was definitely one of them.

1. THE BATHROOM! Shocker, I’m sure. 😉 Take one look at this picture and you’ll see why. YELLOW. TOILET. That’s all I’m gonna say.
