Well hello there! Long time, no post;) If you haven’t guessed, I turn into a mighty bad little blogger come Summertime. I’ve got the kids home from school and there’s just far too much fun to be had outdoors than to make them stay inside while Mommy paints, know what I mean? And sadly, I don’t have my “naptime” break to decorate anymore! Oh, those were the days…
I promise to kick it into full gear again come late August. (And you know I’m crazy enough to pull some all-nighters painting and blogging once the kiddos are down for the count, should inspiration strike before then!) 😉
Anywho, here’s what happened in June in case you missed anything!
1. I started out the month with this crazy easy and quick DIY flag banner-
SO easy, and yet adds such a patriotic punch to my family room!
2. Then, I changed out my green table for a white version – suits the room much better now.
3. I picked up some fun Summer-y throw pillows and blankets, and confessed my love of swapping them out for the seasons…
4. The Big Boy Room was revealed and my son is so happy with his new digs…
5. I made some no-sew curtains from a few IKEA tea towels for the upcoming basement makeover:
6. And finally, I painted the backs of our open kitchen shelves. They really pop now. What a way to give ugly cabinets an update if a full blown reno isn’t in the budget!
So that about wraps up June- hope you’re all having a delightful and relaxing Summer so far…here’s to July!
Love reading your blog and seeing what you do! I’m going to try the curtains soon! Have a great 4th,
Thanks Rondell! Good luck! And you too!:)
Hey there, Liz. Just missing you around here. I hope all is well!
Aw, you’re the sweetest! Thanks, Heather! All’s well, just busy with the kiddos home:) Miss you too!!
