The Dining Room Christmas Tour: 2013

I posted the buffet table already (if you missed that, click here to check it out!), but wanted to show you the rest of the dining room this Christmas. Did a couple new things, and I love the bright, cheeriness of it! Since last year, the table was painted white, and the blue hutch turned white as well…oh, and the bench came back to the entry, and the mirror was hung above (and painted blue).

So grab some cocoa, and come take a look around!

For the chandelier this year, I hung a strand of berries and some fun ornaments I picked up at Target.
Speaking of ornaments, check out the easy centerpiece I did…

I wrapped wide red ribbon (from the Dollar Tree!) around the hurricanes, hot glued these sparkly ornaments (Target again) to the ribbon, and filled them with salt and white candles. Placed them on an old mirror that serves as a ‘tray,’ and that was it.

While at Target, I could NOT help myself when I saw this red and white runner…

It’s PERFECT for this room!

Ok, you might remember last year’s dining room decor, and it was all white snowflakes. (Here’s last year’s post if you wanna check it out.). I had these giant white snowflakes from the Dollar Tree that hung from the china cabinet. Since the cabinet was blue at the time, it looked great. BUT…the cabinet is now white, so I gave them a coat of red spray paint, then a coat of Krylon Glitter Blast spray paint in red, and they really pop!

I hung the third one over the mirror by the entry…

The red pillow is new this year too. Take a guess: TARGET!! 😉

I used some of my blue and white everyday stuff on the shelves, but adding a touch of red, like these berries from my neighbor’s garden, makes them feel Christmas-y…

So about wraps up the tour! Thanks for stopping by:)
