From Drab Chair to Fab Nightstand

FINALLY we had some spray paintin’ weather here this weekend! Been dying to get this super quick makeover done for weeks now, so when the weather hit 60 on Sunday (or close enough!), I grabbed this beautiful pink Valspar spray paint and primer in one (color: Frost Berry in Gloss)…

…and this ugly beat up old chair my mom scored for a song at a yard sale years ago…

A few coats later and we have a cute little “nightstand” for my daughter’s room!…

No prep work needed (just make sure there’s no dust on it) – took it outside, sat it on an old towel I’ve designated for my paint messes, and that’s it!

I don’t have the perfect stuff to place on it right now, so I just grabbed some things from her room for the moment. I’d like to get her a much cuter clock;) But for now, it works.

We just got her a full sized bed, so I figured a small table on one side, this chair on the other. I’m all about different surfaces as tables – I love stacking suitcases, or baskets, crates, etc – I think it adds interest. Plus, it was free! Well, other than the can of spray paint;)

Her room is Sherwin Williams Aviary Blue – it is one of my favorites – a pale blue with a little aqua in it. I’m using bright pink to pair with it, and this Valspar spray was the PERFECT shade! Can’t wait to get working on this room – it’s the next room to get done after our master. Oh the projects swirling around in my head right now! Aren’t enough hours in the day…

Anyway, that’s my little project I did over the weekend while the weather finally cooperated! Can’t wait for more spray painting days ahead!
