The Dining Room in January

If you read my last post, you know how much I’m crushing on the simplicity of my January decor.

The dining room is no exception.

Taking down all the Christmas decorations…the greens, the reds…they were so beautiful, but it was time and I was ready to get down to just the basics again.

It just feels good.

This room was kinda in the middle of a makeover last January, so maybe that’s why I’m digging it so much this year. The combination of greys and whites, burlaps and blues, the touch of green…it’s simplicity just makes me happy.

How about you? Are you ready for January too?

  1. I love your sense of style! Your house is beautiful! I wish you lived closer and could help me decorate. I’m horrible at it! Thanks for sharing all the time.

  2. Do you have a nonslip thing under your dining room rug? Your room looks great!

  3. Love your coffee bar! One of these days, I have big plans for a similar cabinet in my kitchen. Please remind me again, did you use chalk paint and wax on that piece?

  4. So beautiful!!! I’ve been following your blog for probably 5 years now and never comment, so now is the time! lol! I just looove your style! Your January decor is very cozy and calming. The white touches are just beautiful! I also really love the buffalo check pillow, where is that from? -Jen

  5. Okay, the wreaths on the china cabinet in the dining room. Are those the ones you made? I love the softer green. I need something like that right now… The green wreaths I have look too springy or summery because they are so bright!

I absolutely love your style, especially the white wreath on the door. Please share your secret of how you made it! Being a quilter, I am in love with your ruler table runner. It is AWESOME!!! Headed to get a paint drop cloth tomorrow! Thanks so so much!
