Oh I missed our Craft Night! We didn’t get together in December because, well, it’s DECEMBER. Talk about a busy time of year! So I hadn’t seen my girls in a while, and was so happy we got together for Craft Night a couple weeks ago. We decided since February was approaching, we’d all bring supplies for a Valentine’s Day craft. As always, my girls brought their A-game, (along with delish snacks and record breaking number of wine bottles;)…ANYwho, couldn’t WAIT to share them with you! Let’s get started…
You already know how my craft turned out from a couple posts ago (My DIY Valentine’s Day Frame). Here it is in case you missed it. (Click on the link for all the deets)
And if you’re a reader of my fellow blogger friend Jocie, at One Project Closer, you’ve seen her adorable creations. Check out her post on these projects here. She made an adorable wreath out of a heart grapevine wreath form from Michaels, and some tulips…SO cute, right?!
And since this was such a quick project, she made something else too – an unfinished heart shape frame, painted with some pink craft paint, and some pink, red, and white candy corn! Yes, that actually exists – they have it at Michaels – but shhhhh! Do NOT tell my kids!
Love how she used a cocktail napkin in place of a photograph for this pic – ha!
Ok, here’s another adorable wreath my friend made just using a wreath, cardstock in pinks and reds, a heart punch, and hot glue. So simple, yet so lovely…
And we had yet another wreath, that a friend made using one of those basic wooden flat circle forms from Michaels, cardstock, and a heart cookie cutter. She cut out a bunch of different hearts and glued them on. I could just picture this on my pantry door:)
And how cute is this pillow??
My friend had this burlap pillow made (think her mom might have made it?), and simply hot glued red buttons onto a fabric heart, like this:
Then hot glued the fabric heart onto the pillow. This isn’t a ‘rough-house/throw around on the couch/lay your head on it’ kinda pillow, but I think it’s absolutely adorable for a decorative pillow around Valentine’s Day! I love it.
I’m in LOVE with this next project (ha! Totally didn’t realize the pun when I typed that, I swear)…
She wrapped bottles with yarn, and created each letter differently to spell out love. Felt rosettes for the L, braided yarn in a heart for O, buttons hot glued for the V, and a felt e – and I love that she went with her home’s color scheme, so she can leave these out year round if she wants.
Here’s a frame another friend made using an unfinished frame (AGAIN from Michaels! Man, we love that aisle, don’t we??). She painted it with white craft paint, wrote a quote using pencil, and filled it in with red craft paint.
Amazing, all the possibilities with an unfinished frame and some paint, right?
And here we have a wooden heart, painted white, with love and her kids’ names painted on it. I love this!
Wasn’t kidding when I said my friends brought their A-game, am I right?!
We’ve got next month’s Craft Night in the works, stay tuned and see what craftiness goes down in February!
Really CUTE projects 🙂 I LOVE the wreaths!
Missed your posts terribly. So glad you’re back!
Blessings!
