Simplest (and Cheapest!) Valentine’s Day Mantel Yet

Ah, you gotta love the Dollar Tree. Always comes through for some inexpensive and festive decor. I bought a handful of their red roses and my Valentine’s Day Mantel was done. Seriously. They have bunches of them – like 6ish roses in a bunch, and I bought 7 of them. So for $7 and about 2 minutes of my time (thanks to my DIY Mantel Box), our family room got a fun punch of color and fun .

Ok, to be perfectly honest, I had three bunches in my bin from last year, so this would have cost me $10. But still. Not too shabby, right?

I also included my X and O banner from a couple years ago. It’s simply a strand of jute, with hearts of felt and burlap with Xs and Os stenciled on them and hot glued.

I tell you what, that mantel box was the smartest thing I’ve ever created. It’s so easy to decorate for seasons and holidays, for so little time and money. AND, my husband’s favorite part: we can still read the stats for football games;)

Have you hit the Dollar Tree lately? It really is a great place to shop to make your home festive in a super thrifty way!

How perfect for your mantle box. I bet all that bright red warms your home with this frosty WINTER we are having 😉 I like to see how you decorate your box each time. Stay warm!
