My apologies

I’ve got so many projects in my head right now I can’t sleep at night.

Not kidding. It keeps me up, I toss and turn. I cannot even wait to start them all.

But it’s August now, and it’s a bittersweet month.

School starts up at the end of this month, and for the first time, I’ll be waving goodbye at the bus stop to ALL three of my babies.

So while we still have a few weeks to hold onto, I’m holding onto them with dear life.

I tell you all of this, because it affects this blog. I won’t be diving into all these exciting projects (and I’ve got some doozies!!) until we say our unofficial goodbye to summer. I will have five (FIVE!!!) days a week to work on this blog then, and while I’m so excited to see what the future holds, I don’t want to get too deep into it until my kiddos are off.

I know this summer’s been allover pretty quiet around here – but while I adore you people, and can’t thank you enough that you visit my little ol’ page, I’m a mommy first, and a blogger second. I don’t want to have any regrets that I sat in front of a computer screen or chose to paint or stain something instead of spending the day at the pool with the kids. (These are the days I REALLY wish there was still a naptime around these parts!)

So please forgive me if you don’t see any new posts over the next few weeks – if the mood strikes and the kids are at a friends’ house or I get a second wind at 11pm, I’ll be on here, but other than that, I’ll be unplugging. And about the bathroom: the new light fixture I ordered is on back order until the end of this month anyway! Grrrr. But don’t worry. Fast forward a few weeks from now and things will be on FI-YA, I promise.

You can still follow me on Facebook and Instagram, as I’m sure I’ll be posting quick little hellos on there now and again…I’d miss you all too much to COMPLETELY drop off the planet! 😉

Okey dokey then.

I’m off to..well, enjoy what’s left of this time with my babies. It goes too fast…

  1. I wonder if you and were tossing and turning at the same time last night. I’m a teacher, so both my time with my kids and my time to craft/blog (along with read books, organize photos, and so on) is winding down. It was stressing me out last night big time, but I came to the same conclusion you did. Soaking in more time with the kiddos wins hands down!

I so understand the calling not a mom. Indeed, put your babies first 🙂 Hope the rest not your summer and time with your children is EXTRA BLESSED!!!

  3. The summer is going too fast, isn’t it? I totally understand your need to pull back a little! We will still be around in September 🙂
