Happy Friday!

I don’t think I’ve come off of Cloud 9 from our trip to Waco just yet, but I’m going to try and focus so I can get a post written for ya;)

Don’t think this first favorite thing will surprise you, if you read my last post…

1. The Silos

Oh friends, it’s so my happy place now. I thought the beach was, but looking at these rusty silos, listening to music, and sitting on the grounds at Magnolia – THAT is it. Such a happy, peaceful vibe there, you can’t help but feel it in your bones. The other day, the Fixer Upper episode came on (I am now recording all of them for my husband, who is now their #1 fan – lol!) where Jo brings up her vision to Chip and they show it all in its former state – and seeing what it used to be, and what it is now – nothing short of amazing. How her dream was to create this space where families could come, and hang out, shop, eat – and they made it happen is so inspiring. I feel so blessed to be able to witness it firsthand, and we can’t wait to go back with our kids.

2. Hobo Tote Bag

So I had no idea what my purse was called, but while searching online, I learned it’s a ‘hobo bag.’ Who knew?! I’m wearing it in a lot of the Silobration photos, and several of you asked about it. I do LOVE this bag – unfortunately I’ve had this one from Target for several years now, and it’s not there anymore:(

But I did a little digging for some similar options in case you want to try one of these! (affiliate links)

3. Choosing Gratitude: Your Journey to Joy

My Christian Moms Group recently decided we wanted to focus on gratitude for November, and looked for a book to discuss at our next meeting. Choosing Gratitude kept appearing in my search and while I’m only a few chapters in, I’m already taking away a lot of great stuff. It’s funny, just ten minutes with this book changes my attitude for the day. I know I sound like a broken record, but when you can focus on what you have to be grateful for, especially when you’re going through a not so great season, it has the ability to change your outlook immensely. With Thanksgiving around the corner, and the hustle and bustle that often accompanies this time of year, we really wanted to focus on that. What better time of year, right?

Here’s an affiliate link in case you’d like to join us on our gratitude journey…

That about wraps it up for today! Have a great weekend, friends! Thanks for coming by:)
