Spray Painted Bed…AGAIN

Those of you who’ve been with me for a while might remember that awesome brass yard sale headboard I scored a few years ago…

…FOR TWENTY DOLLARS!

I knew with some spray paint this would be such a cutie for my daughter’s bedroom. (You can check out that post right here).

Spray Paint magic

And it was perfect.

But as you know, we’re making some changes in here again. Because I mean, it’s almost been three WHOLE YEARS people. šŸ˜‰ (I’m well aware of my level of crazy, trust me).

I thought about maybe finding a new headboard,Ā but then it dawned on me. DUH. Spray paint it again!

So I picked up my trusty Valspar Paint + Primer in One in Matte Black and a couple coats later…

Now it’s perfect for THIS room.

I went over it with a couple coats of clear protective spray paint (also in matte) so it doesn’t chip – I was AMAZED at how well the pink held up so I used the same exact technique.

I’m so thrilled I was able to reuse her same headboardĀ – and once again, in awe at what a little paint can do.

I was going to write a post actually NOT related to my daughter’s room today (I know, shocking, right??), but the weather has been so rainy and dreary that my photos just weren’t working out with the lack of natural light. Plus, I did receive a few inquiries about her bed so I figured I’d write about that:) But new stuff is coming, I promise.

I hope this inspires you to breathe new life into something old – I am such a believer thatĀ your home can be beautiful on a budget.

Sometimes all it takes is a can of spray paint to create magic.
