Family Room Progress…Let The Fun Begin!

I apologize for the crickets over here on the blog. Between the end-of-school year stuff, the renovation, the kids’ sports schedules, back-to-back-to-back Craft Nights…and the biggest news, my sister having a BABY!!!!, things have been CA-RAZY. Good crazy, but crazy. I finally had a minute to sit down and blog and wanted to show you how things are moving over here! I apologize for the pics – these are all phone pics, but I’m too tired to get out the good camera…either that, or it’s the fact that I wouldn’t even know where to look for it in this turned-upside-down-house we’re living in at the moment;)

Anywho, remember the wall?

Aw, memories…;)

Then we took down everything and discovered that I never did get around to painting the back of the tv – anyone remember when our family room was GOLD?!

Then the wall came dowwnnnnnnn!

SO EXCITING!!

Here’s the door to the office…

…and now, all patched up!

And some more shots!

I FREAKING LOVE IT ALREADY.

You seriously can’t get me off this recliner.

Yes, that’s our TV on my old desk – I’m on the hunt for the perfect piece for the TV. 😉

They did an awesome job with the transition piece in the hardwoods, don’t you think? Just to clarify – we did NOT do all this work – we have our “guys” who we love – they’ve finished our basement, did our master bathroom, and basically do any and everything we can’t handle/don’t have the time to handle. And they rocked this reno!

Anyway, that’s the latest…now onto the fun part! Board and batten, paint, crown molding, office nook/closet, shiplap makeshift mudroom nook on the other side of the wall…hooooo boy! Busy busy busy!

Keep you posted! XO

This looks great and all but I’ve always imagined the office at the end of an upstairs floor with all the bedrooms, so this is just all wrong, ha!! But seriously, looks good.

  2. Wow – love it! Even though you’re under construction, you’re so nice and tidy!

Where did you get your white curved window? I love that!

  4. Can’t wait to see your dresser-turned-entertainment center in there. You will do fabulous things with it!

  5. Love the room! Where are the recliners from? Thanks!

What color did you use on the walls? I love it!

    • So the family room side had Sherwin Williams Sea Salt, and the Office side had SW Light French Grey – both beautiful colors! But I’ve decided to pick a brand new one for the entire room…haven’t gotten there yet though! 😉
