Easy, 5-Minute DIY Flag Banner

If you’re looking for a way to show some patriotic pride in your decor, and have five minutes to spare, I have got you covered with this incredibly easy project.

Easy 5 minute DIY Flag Banner

This is SO crazy easy, and if you’re like me, you might have everything you need in your house RIGHT NOW!

Easy DIY American Flag Banner

While going through my Summer decor bins the other day, an idea hit me like a ton of bricks. I spotted these little mini flags…the wheels started spinning…

I removed the flags from the sticks (they were stapled on). I punched two holes in each one. I threaded a strand of jute through them.

Aaaaand we’re done!

Did you catch all that? Very complicated, huh? 😉

I needed to iron my flags on a low setting – they were a bit crinkly. I put the banner on my fireplace mantel, and since there’s a runner, I just secured the jute with a little piece of tape and hid it under the fabric. I’d show you more of the mantel box (that I always switch out with the seasons), but right now I just threw some candles and seashells in it – doesn’t look amazing, I just haven’t gotten to Michaels to buy white hydrangeas yet. Hoping to get there soon and I’ll post a picture of the WHOLE mantel when I do!

Easy 5 Minute Flag Banner

A banner that can stay up for months (Memorial Day in May, Flag Day in June, 4th of July…) and only took five minutes of my time and ZERO dollars?! I’ll take it!
