I know – two posts in one week, you can’t even believe it, right?! š
Thanks for all your love on the new kitchen shelves! You all are just the best.
Today I’d like to share with you a super easy and simple Fall dining room table idea. I am drawn to simple, natural, and neutral in this room. Our family room still has a lot of the bolder Fall colors – I hope to get that post up soon as well – but in here, with the white walls and table, and the contrasting black metal chairs…it just screamed for a more subdued color scheme.
Let’s dive right in, shall we?
All I did to create the centerpiece was lay some greens down in a bowl (I already had both), and threw a mix of white pumpkins and apples in there.
The inspiration for the entire room came from one fun find at Michaels last week – when I spotted these apple stems, I knew I had found my scheme:
I mean, how adorable are they, right?! I loved how real they looked, and I immediately started envisioning the table settings. I orderedĀ theseĀ black and white buffalo check napkins:
(BTW – what a deal for 12 napkins, right?!)
I just added an apple and little green sprig on top, and that was it!
I just love the subtle little touches of color from the apples – I think it’s just enough in this room.
I also added some greens, apples, and pumpkins to the top of the china cabinet, along with my DIY HAPPY FALL banner from a few years back;)
And some more pumpkins over on the little grey table…
More on that in another post coming soon!
So we’re getting there! Even if it is still feeling like Summer and the air conditioning is running nonstop;). Ā More Fall postsĀ to come next week – Ā feels so good to be back! XO
Very cute! I recently discovered your blog and I absolutely love it ! Your home is so beautiful and you have such a sweet little family as well. I think I stayed up all night reading your blog lol. Love all the diy projects you post too! Anyhow… I always look forward to seeing a post from you. You’ve definitely got talent!
Looks fabulous! Love the color scheme…now if I could only find my dinning room table under the mound of laundry I’d be good! Looks like a trip to Michaels is in my future today while the kids are off! Thanks for all your inspiration!š
I love this! I am getting ready to totally redecorate my plain dining room (in time for hosting our first Turkey Day) and I love how this says fall but isn’t all Fall up in your face! hah
And what an amazing deal for those napkins! Adding those to my cart now!
You should be here in Idaho, Liz. It is full-on Fall weather here, with a touch of winter. Yuck.
Anyway, I wanted to say I saw your new shelves in the background of one of those photos, and they look just right!
